This has such an interesting feeling, almost a little GeoGuessr-y in the way that the environment around you appears. I love these bugs; the way they move makes my skin crawl (which is presumably what you wanted!) The biggest critique I have is that the “hold to charge” mechanic isn’t immediately obvious even though it’s such a huge and important part of the game. That’s easily fixable, though. Even having some sort of little sound that plays when you’re charging would make it a lot clearer. Also, for me, the appearance of the tongue itself felt a little at odds with the vibe of the rest of the game. Everything else seems to be very realistic and detailed, while the tongue is a lot simpler and blockier when it’s fully extended. Really enjoyable overall though, and watching the bug retract with your tongue feels super good.

I really, really, really like this a lot. I love the use of a 3D picture as the background,  the controls feel tight and responsive, and the bug models creep me out! (Totally a positive!) As far as what could be improved,  sound is a big one, as well as some sort of score or tracker to indicate how many bugs have been eaten or how many are left. Another thing and this might just be me, but i noticed sometimes I would charge and release the tongue and it wouldn't register the hit even though i srr it connect. Other than that, really fun!

Really fun game! The hold and release mechanic is an addicting feature which makes the whole game attractive. Also, awesome animation of flying bugs, very suitable for the realistic swamp environment. For some suggestions, I think adding  sound effects will greatly increase the gaming experience, and make players feel like they are being in a noisy outdoor environment. I also wish there's a score count which indicates how many bugs the frog already ate, so that I can get a better understanding of how much progression I made. Great work!

Shooting my tongue at bugs is really satisfying; I especially like how the length of my tongue is controlled by how long I hold down the mouse. Since you are going for a realistic effect with the skybox, I suggest adding sounds to the frog and the bugs. Maybe add some croaking noise for the frog everytime it catches a bug, and add some buzzing noise for the bugs to make them more annoying and more deserving to be eaten.

Hi! I really really enjoy being a frog in this game! The tongue model and the way it shoots out feels good and it looks super nice. And the bug model you've made + their flying animation is incredibly impressive and really stands out. Great stuff. I think that the hold click and release mechanic to determine is pretty deep actually and I think getting the hang of it takes some playtime and practice. I think that this game could benefit from a wiiSportsGolf-esque power meter while you're charging your tongue, and maybe a cursor indicator when you target a bug that's totally outside your maximum range. In my time with the game, I felt a little frustration aiming up a good shot only to have the bug be just too far away. I also think some nice cicada and nature noises + maybe some croaks could be a great addition to the ambiance and setting, which visually right now is really on point. Your skybox setting works as great location for this experience. Lastly, it took me a while to catch all the bugs and I feel like I would have appreciated a more satisfying conclusion. Maybe telling my time and how many clicks it took to get them or something that would encourage me to play again to try and improve. All in all I really enjoyed flexing my bug hunting skills for a (rib)bit. Thanks!
